Since its inception, Sri Kurumba Educational and Charitable Trust has remained committed to uplifting underprivileged families. Furthering this mission, the Trust recently handed over 120 newly built homes to women-led families in Palakkad district under the Griha Sobha 2025 initiative. Among them, 13 landless families were also provided with 5 cents of land each to build their homes.
With 110 homes delivered last year, the initiative has now provided a total of 230 homes to deserving families. Taking another step toward its ambitious goal of constructing 1,000 free homes, the Trust will lay the foundation stone for an additional 120 homes in March 2025.
The handover ceremony saw the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Mrs. Sobha Menon, Trustee, Sri Kurumba Educational and Charitable Trust, Sri Adv K Rajan, Revenue and Housing Minister, Kerala, along with State Ministers, MPs, MLAs, and leaders across political affiliations. The event reaffirmed the Trust’s steadfast commitment to creating meaningful change through sustainable initiatives.
“A safe and secure home is the starting point for countless possibilities. Through the Griha Sobha initiative, we are enabling women-led families to break barriers and build brighter futures. This journey is about more than homes—it’s about creating a legacy of empowerment and hope for generations to come. At Sri Kurumba Educational and Charitable Trust, we are committed to transforming lives by creating lasting change through holistic social development.”
